Danish Annual Meeting

Annual meeting of the Danish Society for Day Surgery, was held on 28th and 29th April. We had a inspiring annual meeting with approx. 100 participants.

The headline this year was “Sustainable Day Surgery”. The days have offered a lot of exciting presentations

Among other things there were presentations from Director for Danish Regions, Erik Jylling and Director of the Danish Society for Patient Safety, Inge Kristensen. I myself had a presentation about the work in the international society for day surgery IAAS, International Association for Ambulatory Surgery✌️

We subsequently had a very exciting panel discussion🙌

Journalist and author, Anne Meiniche told about her experiences as a patient in the healthcare system which were moving and very inspiring.

Head of the Center for Sustainable Hospitals, Maria Gaden told about sustainability in a clinical context and doctor, past president of IAAS, co-founder and first chairman of DSDK , Claus Toftgaard contributed with the history and own memories within Day Surgery.  Several nurses, medical students and doctors from all over the country told about exciting development and research projects which were very inspiring and with a focus on quality and safety for patients in a Day Surgery context

In addition, we had a general meeting where I was re-elected to the board of the Danish Society for Day Surgery.
