Plans for support and training the 8 hospitals had to change due to the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. This had 2 main effects
- the most obvious was that it was no longer possible to travel to Budapest for face to face sessions.
- the hospitals were heavily involved in managing the epidemic in Hungary and so had little time for elective activity, development of services or future planning.
The IAAS and HAAS decided to offer an online training session and this was held on October 30th 2020.
