A very successful training session in day surgery involving a mixture of anaesthetists, managers, nurses and surgeons from 13 hospitals across China was held in Beijing on 22nd and 23rd of March. The training was organised by the Society of Ambulatory Medicine Economics and Management and the China Health Economics Association. It was supported by

- Dr Ian Jackson, Past President of the British Association of Day Surgery and the IAAS.
- Mr David Bunting, President of the British Association of Day Surgery.
The three international trainers were honoured to be awarded Honorary Membership of the Society in recognition for their contribution to Ambulatory Surgery.
